Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Words can not describe my sadness over the Oki Dog News!!!

I  can see how this could make you nostalgic and sad.  I'm not at all certain that very many folks share you're love of this culinary landmark.

'Dancing Waters,' once a bowling alley, once Jake Lamotta's nightclub in 'raging bull,'  a popular Pedro punk club at one point, the a mysteriously ended Spanish-language disco, is also completely gone now.  Like, there's a hole in the ground, where a generic apartment box will soon rise.

Maybe okidog should have been landmarked?

Punk history gets no respect.

Not for nothing, but we busted our collective ass delivering news content to Quibi and it was a huge wasted effort.

For getting the most resolution to pull off the key, and he was getting a repos / scale anyway, the cam was rotated 90 degrees.

If you're doing both 16:9 and 9:16, shoot twice / frame twice / direct twice (and rotate the cam for the 9:16). You simply cannot do the same jokes in both aspects.
(Eg, giving the viewer more info than the protagonist; the angry dog around the corner will be the anvil over him. (Now I'm going to find the I am Weasel anvil episode.))

For mobile, I don't get it. Let the end user rotate his device. For billboards, fair enough. (I must admit I HATE moving images in public space, I will never go to a bar where there is a TV set on.)

[Avid-L2] Using Avid for Quibi Programming Format? AKA a Vertical Video Project in Avid?

Years back they start Quibi streaming service with vertical video for mobile devices.  IIRC there was some documentation on how to achieve a Quibi formatted product using Avid.  I can't seem to find anything googling that seems like the paper that I am remembering.  My current project deliverables require some sort of mobile device versions which I assume to mean Vertical Video like Quibi was.  Can anyone point me in a direction.  I have friends that do this sort of thing in Premiere and I know Resolve has a setting there it will automatically reposition the shots to optimize the content in the vertical window.  Any suggestions if Avid can in fact do this. IIRC the paper I'm remembering came out back in the 2018.12ish days.  I'm currently working on 2018.12.15 but have access to the last 2023 Avid version if necessary.
