[Avid-L2] MC 2018.12 Mac OS 10.12.6 Background Render Pan and Zoom yields black?

 

I found today that if I have Avid render an Avid Pan and Zoom in the background it yields black as the result.  Deleting the render media and the image comes back, so the link is still valid to the still.  Render the same Pan and Zoom in the foreground like normal and all is fine.  The pan and zoom was nested in a color correction effect. I tried the same with no color correction effect and the still on V1 and still background render yields black.

Seems like a Bug.  Any Avid people scanning this list please pass it on.  I won't bother Marianna right now because she is swamped with the new release.  Maybe next week I'll email her.

[Avid-L2] MC 2018.12 Sift Issue Fixed perhaps even earlier versions?

 

I recall the complaints the bin sift behavior changed many versions back and starting a new sift left any previous sift characters still in the field.  I noticed to today on MC 2018.12 when I do a second sift on a bin the previous text is highlighted so I can just type over it and replace it.  IIRC that was the old behavior that everyone liked.

Anybody know when the sift behavior was corrected to work like it had?

[Avid-L2] Re: 2018.12

 

Just checked on my work macpro system with 2018.12.  Repeatedly hitting L increases like normal in a 23.98 project.  Not sure what you are seeing.  And I haven't rebuilt my settings coming from 8_9_4 but that's just the way I roll. 

I assume you are mac based as well on a cheese grater.  My os is 10.12.6.
