[Avid-L2] Looking for BWAV files

HI everyone,

We're looking to improve the accuracy of one of our software products, but have found that we need more examples of BWAV files than we have in order to make sure we're reading all cases accurately.

We don't need much - a couple of seconds is plenty and to keep it simple you can email the sample(s) to me direct at this email address.\

the example will never be used in any demonstration or tutorial, they're for research purposes only.

Of course, if anyone knows a repository of BWAV examples that would be perfect.

Re: [Avid-L2] Re: the avid website needs help!

Well, the KFs get added as long as you keep dragging the mouse. Next step is to filter the KFs from the Fast Menu.

Push the BRB, and the systems pre-rolls, then rolls forward and starts recording keyframes as you push the faders in the window up and down with the mouse. Push the BRB again to stop recording, and with auto gain displayed in your timeline, you'll see a bunch of really messy keyframes you've just added with this hairbrained feature. I guess it could work with the right hardware interface.

Or you could copy your media to one drive and back it up to another drive over night. It will do an incremental backup which means it will look for only the new stuff and back that up. We use it a lot for field backups of file-based media. What we like about this kind of backup is that if it bails in the middle of a backup, you haven't lost everything.

Extra keyframes are added simply by the very tiny changes that the mouse is making, because your hand has little "micro-movements" that are picked up through the mouse. These are interpreted as changes in level.
