Re: [Avid-L2] Has Anyone Asked This?

During beta I upgraded the OS without upgrading or reloading the particular beta version. Specifically, cloned the boot drive, upgraded the OS, then continued working of the new 10.7.1 boot drive. Of course, a couple days later, I put in a new beta version - they had warned us that they wanted us to move to 10.7 on the next 'drop.' So, I'm not saying what you want to do will work, but in at least one case, it worked for me.

The Audio Setting is still there. I think mono or stereo options are in the Mixdown window.

So I'm on Snow Leopard 10.6.8. I've got MC 5.5.3. NOW... It seems to be commonly accepted that MC 6.0 will work on Snow Leopard.

I understand that Lion is a bit of a stinker on older MacBooks and even
more so if you upgrade so I suggest you clean install and move your user
data onto Lion from a Timemachine backup or whatnot.

That's great. Thanks you guys!
I wasn't looking forward to going to Lion sooner than I wanted to.

Are there any issues with first installing MC6 on Snow Leopard and then
upgrading to Lion?
I have a feeling that the workflow would need to be uninstall MC6 >
install Lion > install MC6.
Is that necessary?
