Lost it in CC for me in 5.03.
Try modifying the value via keyboard and then trying CTRL/ALT mouse wheel.
( you need to do each time, not a global workaround )
I believe it to be broken.

I ran across this console command fix on the Avid forums today. Type into the console "moncon off". It got rid of nearly all the tearing on two systems I have access to. You have to do this with every launch of the app, but at least it seems to be a solution for now.

[Avid-L2] Re: Merge color correction - Prog Segment behavior

Version 6.0.3 fixed the long standing, since V 3.5 or 4.0, master clip relational color correction bug. Perhaps in fixing that it also effected program segment merging. Just a guess on my part. Program side color correction segment and especially track have burned me the few times I inherited sequences that I never use them. They are an option on merge but I've never used them so I've never tried to merge them. Sounds like I have a weekend project. I would agree Program segment should not merge. I just checked on my V5.5.3 mac sndx os 10.6.8 and although the categories appear in the merge list they are sort of greyed out and the check box is smaller than the others and won't highlight on Program Segment and Src Segment. Given my system's behavior I don't see how you could merge them if you can't highlight them. I'm in an SD 30I project which shouldn't matter but you never know until you try.

I'd say that the easiest thing to do is to export the bins as ALE. Then reimport them... That might strip off the "NTSC" designation... I'd try it with a single bin to see if it works.

Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Guess what my wifes cutting? Hot Dawg

For those in LA,
I strongly recommend a (relatively) new hot dog joint,
ConeyDog LA, featuring Detroit style Coney Island chili dogs.

2 of these and a plate of chili fries, and life is good.

They're on the Sunset Strip, across from the Viper Room.

[Avid-L2] Re: Did the Superbin return in MC 6.5?

Steve,

I looked at that and my initial thoughts were, for my editing style and typical project needs, the changes made to the "superbin" feature added clicks.

In particular, when I'm working on a project I much more frequently use the TEXT, FRAME and SCRIPT tabs for the reasons each supports than I change bins themselves. The process of changing between TEXT, FRAME and SCRIPT modes is now a two click process.

Additionally, the Superbin approach already provided a one-click means to open alternate bins.

As far as I can tell, the multiple bin tabs within a bin have to be rebuilt each time that bin is closed - or the project is reopened.

Moving assets between bins really hasn't been improved.

So what have I really gained?

With the new approach it would be nice if I could drag the same bin and drop it into itself in a separate tab and apply a different TEXT, FRAME and SCRIPT mode to that additional bin. Then I could quickly change how I view the assets... and have other bins there too!

Re: [Avid-L2] Did the Superbin return in MC 6.5?

I doubt it. They are proud of their 'less-than-useful' Project-based Bin layout feature. What a timesaver - you have to set the bloody thing up anew with every new project, unlike the (for me) much lamented SuperBin. RIP (maybe we can sprinkle chicken blood and hot dog remains on the grave and bring it back to life). I do like Tabbed Bins - but that's just a slight variation on what we had with the Superbin.

I don't know about 6.5, but 6.0 now features tabbed bins, which I see as a more useful implementation of Superbin.
Open any bin, then drag other bins directly from the project window into that bin and you get tabbed bins.

Re: [Avid-L2] PLEASE EDIT POSTS was Baselight for Avid Release

The last two posts on this topic were single sentences followed by about 200 lines of previous posts which were not needed. This list has never had a firm rule about trimming extraneous parts of the thread, but it's just common courtesy. On the CML, (Cinematographer's Mailing List) they don't even accept your post if you quote more than two lines from a previous post... I think that's a little extreme, but still, unless you NEED to follow a thread all the way back... just quote what we need to see. I'm not trying to be a dick... just trying to save us all a little bandwidth so my episodes of "Newsroom" and "Breaking Bad" download a little faster from Netflix.
