I use the 3rd and 4th Bnc spigots on my Avid branded DNxIO to feed the HD/2K downconvert when running in 4K/UHD projects. This woks for both Avid and Resolve and maybe other software.
The BM UltraStudio 4K Mini only has two SDI outputs so I'm wondering if it can do the downconvert like it's big brother if I set it to single link output. They are building the bay so I can't test right now. Anybody know? I'm thinking this stripped down version probably doesn't have the horsepower to do it.
