Thanks. Yeah I eventually gave up and converted to ProRes outside of avid. And then linked to that. 
but I’m intrigued about your mention of inserting single frames if I were to use Dnx. Can you elaborate on that workflow?

If this were me I would convert the image sequence to a DNx or ProRes file and be done with it.  Probably DNx. (This way if any updated frames arrive, they could be insert edited into the file all within the Avid tool set.)

 

I would do this because Avid has never be super reliable with image sequences and image sequences are harder on a computer / disc system for play back.  Life is to short to deal with some things.

 

Just my opinion.

[Avid-L2] Stock music metadata

Just got an example BWF from a client, containing XMP metadata.
Is this common nowadays?
(Avid does not read XMP, but I do, and can convert to Avid MXF.)
