Re: [Avid-L2] Mapping of Avid Artist Color in Resolve?

 

I found I can do that too in Resolve but I don't understand how to program the bank 1 or bank 2 function keys.  There are pages that can be added to the function keys which create a new black set of 9 Function Keys and I can program them but then hitting bank 1 or bank 2 before hitting the function keys doesn't seem to activate the page 2 or page three functions.  They only seem to react to the page one function key programming through the Eucon Software.  Bank 1 and Bank 2 do seem to activate different functions in Resolve so I don't really understand the difference between pages in the Eucon Software and Banks on the Artist Color Panel.  At least I have a road map to see what the defaults are.

As far as I can tell, the keyboard mapping for the Avid Artist Color hasn't updated in years. That Resolve 10 mapping is where it seems to be locked.

I wouldn't expect any further updates in regards to Resolve. The Euphonix version is EOL and the Avid version is slated for EOL in another year or two.

[Avid-L2] Mapping of Avid Artist Color in Resolve?

 

I've had an Artist Color panel for a long time but because it never has worked well in Avid it hasn't been used much except to experiment in Resolve.  I'm searching for a reference for the mapping of the keys.  I've been told BlackMagic use to have it listed on their sight but I can't find anything about it in the Resolve manual.  What I've found is by default the Artist Color maps the 9 function keys to what it calls "Eucon FKey 1 thru 9"  In default config some of these buttons add and delete nodes or deactivate them.  I found an Arabic tutorial that was amazingly enlightening despite the language barrier.  I learned more watching it for 12 minutes than I have in all the years I've owned this panel.  Does anybody know where to find the cliff notes or cheat sheet for Artist Color default mapping with Resolve?

[Avid-L2] Euphonix MC Control

 

A company I know is selling a hardly used Euphonix MC Control remotes. They want 300€ for it. Does it have any interest with Media Composer? Or will it just gather dust on a shelf? I don't do sound mix, but having direct access to faders during playback could be nice - if it can do this sort of things.

For $20-25/mo, why not just get a new 'regular' MC subscription for the MacBook Pro? Saves the hassle of deactivating/reactivating, and no dongle sticking out of your MBP.
It's what I will do next time I need to use MC on my MBP, even though I have three dongles as well.
