[Avid-L2] Re: Can Avid Link Blast a Dongle?

 

Yes but you would think using Avid MC help and searching for Avid Link would result in something found.  I tried and nothing came up.  That seems like it should be mentioned somewhere in the Avid Help Manual.

that might be a great $100 solution. My surround speaker setup is self-powered, but has both balanced and unbalanced input.

In our screening room I run SDI to a Blackmagic HDLink (way old school) that converts video to DVI then to HDMI that goes into the projector. And the HDLink takes the embedded AES in the SDI and breaks it out to analog outs that go into the sound system receiver. Works well enough.
