Speaking of bcc I see v10 is out with a 595 upgrade. Does anyone know if this includes from the avid bundled version?

You always buy the last version,  but at least for the moment, it can be downgraded to the last release of each major version (7.X or 6.5.x) without any problem.

Right now I have a trial version which upgraded my home software to Avid MC 7.0.4.  Plus Phrase Find and Script Sync are working.  I actually don't need to go back into the material I edited until the producers raise the funds for the documentary (I just finished the presentation reel).  If I let this trial lapse, will I be able to reactivate this same version and my Phrase Find/Script Sync when I pay for a license -- probably month to month though possibly an annual?  Never had a dongle for the software.  I don't usually edit at home so I am not eager to make an investment I don't need.  Should I pay for one month to lock in the software I have and then let it lapse?  I don't have a computer that can handle MC 8, and don't expect to get one any time soon.  Will Avid contact me when the trial is over?  I just want to be ready.  There are still a couple weeks left on the trial.

Appreciate all the help I have received from this group!!

I think David had it. Shut all other bins and try again.

I've seen issue when bin files don't have the .avb extension.  Older Avids on Macs didn't add the .avb.  Strange thing is you can open the bin once but after it closes it disappears from the project window.  Adding the .avb suffix brings it back.  That doesn't sound like what you are experiencing but just in case.

Also I've seen trashing the .avs folder in a project cure some very strange behavior.  May be worth a try.

[Avid-L2] Re: Outputting Direct Audio to Same As Source QT from Avid?

surely your renders take as much room as a video mixdown? Lately I've found that ama file export is faster than Mixdown or renders - so might work for you as an 'intermediate'?

Also the multiple mix feature in audio mixdown is v useful, although I guess you are getting all mixes you need from PT.
