Re: [Avid-L2] Avid Dongle on Apple Silicon (M1 + derivates)

Welcome, Sentinel. Take yourself out of business.

I mean, honestly: if Sentinel is not delivering a valid USB i/o support on M1(+ <- all future Apple Silicon) - where will your business model end up then?

This is ridiculous.

Or, on the other hand: this is an excuse to push prepetuals rather than dongles. And, as stated before: iLok could be an alternative if "any" company pull itself out of Dongle-business (no, we don't do M1+)

A software license is the alternative. Sentinel simply stopped development of the drivers.
iLok has its benefits, but also its problems apparently.
Avid did overhaul the licensing system, so it is now much, much easier and should be more reliable to assign and move licenses.

Can we Dongle Owners get a working replacement, i.e. a iLok-License? What's the deal now?
