[Avid-L2] 50p gotchas

 

Hello,

We’re about to embark on a project which is being filmed in a mixture of 25 and 50p and mastered in 50P.

I just wondered if anyone has any experiences to share around the mechanics of the offline edit, ie. Working in a 25 or 50 timebase?

I know in theory it shouldn’t matter what the editors decide to use, but as there are multiple editors working on the same film at the same time, just want to check there’s not a reason they should decide do all do one or the other…

Any concerns around sending stuff for the audio mix in PT? The picture finishing would be done on a different (non avid) system.
