To be a big butt about it. Doesn't a theatrical projector play stills all the time? Just they happen at 24 stills per second. Feel free to kick my ass just like Artie Fufkin would say.

Hey Gang
Anyone know what still format is typically played through a theatrical projector? Like, if you just wanted to play a big JPeg, can that be programmed into the theater's playback sequence for a certain amount of time??
Client's looking for a 'slide' to accompany a dcp we're making, and I realized I don't know the capabilities of digital projection systems for playing a still image.
