Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Cine Deck does insert Edits? Somebody Pinch me

this is a bit too conservative.
Like in a recent thread, if you insert a different codec as the rest, you will have problems.
If you stick to the rules (same codec), and do a flatten operation (just a copy, as fast as  your drives are), you'll be fine.

This sounds like fun but to be realistic I can't live with no quarantee it other software will accept it.  Not putting down the product but it's the whole online ecosystem that Cine Deck appears to be addressing.  I just swap out my tape deck with a file deck and when it comes time to output we all huddle around my bay and watch the output off the confidence output channel and when we are done we are done.  If the multiple file output function truely works then I don't even have to copy the file as I've recorded it to two places simultaneously with one being a shuttle drive for network delivery.  I am curious to know more about why the Cine Deck only works inserts with it's own files, as I say in a Greg H. post.

Terry,
I've just added a Mac version, although untested...
And all my products have only a 'demo'  button, for paid products (this one is free) you get the demo, insert a serial.
Again, this one is fully functional.

But a warning, even if you flatten a file, there is no guarantee all other software will accept the files, so do test!

That page doesn't show a Mac download. And for the Windows version it says it's a demo version. Does the product still exist?
