Thanks Jim for the info. The calculator is useful. RefurbUPS not much good to me in the UK but I am now looking at something like this:
VIX3100. 1000VA/600W Battery Backup (UPS System) with UK Outlets
From what you guys are saying this should be ample and it's brand new as well.
