[Avid-L2] OT: Big Brother may not be watching but he is listening on UTube Live

I thought this might save others some grief.  Working on a live webcast last week of the annual guitar recital in my home town that is produced by my high school electronics/media teacher and consists of guitar students of a local teacher in town.  The event is crewed by mostly former electronics students from my high school.  One of the former students is very IT savvy etc...  In the past he has set up a web server to host the web cast.  This year he decided to use UTube live which is free.  A few glitches in getting it up and running and when we sent up a test video and audio signal the service decided the music our audio mixer was running for a test might be copyrighted and they didn't know if we had rights to it.  Bottom line they bounced us off the live stream.  Mr. IT was able to reconnect and get the stream working but I figured others on this list might run up against similar webcast confusion.  So I guess it's true nothing is for free.  Fortunately when the guitar students played some popular hit songs the service didn't detect them as a copyright violation potential.  Whew, nothing like finding this out 10 minutes before air.  Or should we start saying 10 minutes to net?
