Re: [Avid-L2] Re: Initial Transcode: Dark, Re-transcode: Fine, Reimport: Dark

It doesn't sound to me like you should have a problem.

Try these steps:

1. Take your Avid media offline. I generally do this by adding an 'X'
to the end of every "Avid MediaFiles" folder, (so changing the name of
the folder to "Avid MediaFilesX".) You might have 1 such folder per
hard drive. Taking it offline will prevent you from relinking to any
of your transcoded media. When you're done you can bring it all back
online by restoring the original folder name.
After doing this your test sequence should be full of offline media.

2. open all bins with AMA clips and select them all. They should all be
online.

3. select your test sequence and Relink to selected clips in all open bins.

If your sequence is now online then you've successfully relinked to your
AMA files. You can bring your Avid media back online (by restoring the
"Avid MediaFiles" folders to their proper names) and should then be
able to re-transcode your sequence to DNxHD115 or whatever resolution
you prefer.

Cheers,
