I'm on OS 10.6.8 SNDX 5.5.3 and QTPro 7.6.6 IIRC. I made a QT Ref of a DNX220X sequence and then did a save as self contained movie. When I go to the assist stations that are running mc 3.1.3 with os 10.5.x I see the bottom half of the frame black like what happens when there is a mismatch of Avid's DNX compliant codec and non compliant older codec. I did the switch for the Avid but it seems to have no effect on playback in regular QT 7. They are on something like QT 7.4.x. I know about the Avid history of patching the non compliant codec for the Avid world. Is there something similar in the QT Pro world or is it just that QT 7.4.x doesn't support the newer SMPTE Compliant Avid DNX QT component. It works fine on my sndx computer with QT 7.6.6. Anybody got a clue how to resolve this mismatch?
