Re: [Avid-L2] Video Satellite? Black Magic Hyperdeck?

I've got PT 8.01 running on a tried-to-sell-it-but-couldn't power PC, under OSx10.5.8 I'm going to see if I can lock that to PT 9 using Video Satellite HD. Then all I have to do is grab a BMD card, find room in the rack for yet another CPU, dig up a spare fibre card to connect it to the terrablock... etc., etc...

Of course, if our F'ing graphics server didn't have 3 cards in it already... oh, never mind... It really shouldn't be this hard.

One HDX card is the equivalent processing power of 5 Accel cards. Then you can put a Blackmagic card in the machine and play HD Quicktimes from the timeline.
