[Avid-L2] And Now A Word From Our QC Monkey

Well today's notice is 4 time codes in an hour show that are supposedly slightly below 7.5 IRE.  This is from an exported file that is Avid 1:1 uncompressed QT that will ama into my laptop with V6 at perfect bars levels when viewed on the Avid internal scopes.  I know not the greatest but all the vector dots are in the middle of the boxes and the parade level 16 to 235 are correct.  No gamma no quadrature error.  So "A" a little below is 7.5IRE is nothing.  I use to set my GVG 3240? proc amp to clip at 0 to 3 IRE.  It does nothing to the signal and how can it even be below 7.5IRE with the Avid Safe Color limit set to 7.5 low?  I have to find out how they are making this analysis but really this is a nothing concern from everything I know and they do have a tape back up.  Am I missing something besides an over zealous piece of software or hardware that is misinforming them.  It's a little scary to think of how they might be deriving Composite IRE
values from a QT file that is 16 to 235 in video essence.  Anybody have some enlightenment on this?
