The interviews play fine in Quicktime. I import into After Effects and they play fine. But when I import into MC 5.5 I get a tone under the audio in channel one. Clearly there, loud enough to hear and for it to register on the Audio tool at about +6. It was not on a broll shot from the same interview when it was imported. Only on the interview. But as I said, no tone is heard when you play the original file. Only 2 tracks of audio, and track one has the tone after it comes into Avid. Sound engineer next door is very perplexed.
