[Avid-L2] Red Scarlet Workflow

 

I've been approached about cutting a feature doc. Some of the footage has already been shot with an EX3 but they have access to a Red Scarlet to finish shooting. I have googled and looked and can't find any workflow for the scarlet. Does anyone have any experience or suggestions about this? Gotchas?

I am running MC5.5.3 software only on MAC OS 10.6.8 2x2.26 Quad Core Intel Xeon 8 gig RAM. I have zero experience with red files from any red model. I am assuming the footage will have to be transcoded to a lower RES DNxHD to offline and they will then have to online and color grade in 444 on a DX or Symphony. I'm also planning on using Sapphire effects.

Any help will be appreciated.
