[Avid-L2] Re: Demux SDI to analog audio

What happens if the inputs are not stable on power up? Once you power up with a stable 1/2 aes will it stay in standalone mode if the input signal gets interrupted, which is always the case of an Avid output?

PS: What's the minor circuit difference? I want pin outs and trace location for how to change the circuit. ;-)

You cannot use the Avid version, and you cannot use the even older 16-bit version (although the 24 works ok if you use a 16 bit signal) because of a minor circuit difference. The beauty of the 888 24 i/o is that if you don't connect it to a computer, and provide a solid AES signal on input 1/2 on power-up, it switches into 'stand alone' AES to Analog converter mode. I actually had Behringer D-to-A converters installed, and this works much better at a much lower price point.
