Oddly, it turns out that the same QT ref movies exported from MC 5 on 10.6 do play fine on 10.6 in QT X, but they do not play on 10.7 in QT X. (They do play in QT 7 on Lion, though.)
This leads me to believe that there is something incompatible about Avid's QT codec in Lion.
Marianna, should we reasonably assume that there is a new QT codec in the works?
Thanks,
Rainer
