Have to agree with Oliver here. Not really a big market for new Avid editors.
Avid has benefitted from Apple not coming out with any serious updates to FCP for a long time. I have been predicting for a while that the next version of iCut Pro would be a major game changer. Since Steve Jobs was quoted saying it would come out early this year, I expect to see something soon. If I were a betting man, I would bet it will be bad for Avid and good for Apple.
