I would agree with Barry. FCP does indeed have a lot of power and many innovative features, and it has gradually gotten more stable and practical over the past decade. However, I have always felt it wasn't designed by editors, and the result is a sometimes great product studded with incredibly stupid limitations and pitfalls.

Yes you do. And Yes we did.

Media Composer V3 (1992-3) contained the collective thoughts of

effectively 1000 man years of (in my case linear) editing, but still

making and altering sequences.

Many ideas came from Non US countries who edited in quite different

ways.

That is the pedigree of MC and which this list is so long IMHO.
