[Avid-L2] OT: Portable USB mics, Snowflake unrecognized

Hi List,

Looking for a small USB mic for scratch narration to take on the road
with a laptop for editing.

Picked up the Blue Snowflake at an Apple Store but it doesn't come up on
the sound preferences. Anyone have any experience with this particular
mic?

Running MC 4.0.5.2
On a MacBook Pro 2.4 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
System 10.6.2
A miserly 2 GB of RAM (not my machine)
