On the contrary, it is a helpful response. EDLs are an ancient technology that are ill equipped for today's workflows. I have had many issues using EDLs even within the Avid architecture.

Automatic Duck is a great tool to handle cross platform workflows. We can translate the sequence for you through Digital Service Station if you don't want to buy your own copy.
