Shane Ross made an interesting observation yesterday: (IN GENERAL)
Avid setups are done by integrators who build out a fully pro system
(at a price). FCP setups are "cheap" so people think they can
configure them themselves, leading to less than perfect/pro installs
and setup.

I thought the observation had merit.
