[Avid-L2] earthlink.net trouble

Am i loosing it?
Have a client that needs support with an Earthlink account, and i cannot
mail her back as my mails bounce with a warning
550 550 Dynamic/zombied/spam IPs blocked. Write
blockedbyearthlink@abuse.earthlink.net

So i wrote the blockedbyearthlink@yadda, and it seems i'm not blacklisted.

Entered a chat session with tech support, they told me to write
support@earthlink.net.
Mailing them bounces...

A new chat session and they basicly tell me all Earthlink clients have to
'whitelist' anyone they wish to receive mail from.

Is this normal, or what?
