Re: [Avid-L2] Local media drive folder name vs share storage media drive folder name

This has been answered by Steve Hullfish, as 'no'.  Oh well.  Sadness for me.

Traditionally in Media Composer if you are working with a local MXF media drive your new media goes into a numbered media folder

Avid MediaFiles/MXF/1
Avid MediaFiles/MXF/2
etc.

If you are ini a shared storage setup then the numbered folders are prefixed with a system name.

Avid MediaFiles/MXF/Avid01.1
Avid MediaFiles/MXF/Avid01.2
etc.

I know I can manually rename my local numbered folders to be prefixed with the system name and it will still rebuild the msm flies.  Which is dandy.

BUT…. Is there a way to have Media Composer default to making the media folders prefixed with the system name on a local drive?  Hopefully something that would be one-and-done as opposed to having to recheck or run in Console every time I start up Media Composer?

Thank you,
Jay
