I prefer to use a Timewarp effect on a clip in the Timeline and set it to 0% over applying a freeze frame to a source clip. I save the effect template in my bin so I can drop it onto any clip in the Timeline when needed.

If you put a sequence or a group clip into the Source monitor, you have to match back to the original master clip in order to do a freeze frame.I don't know if this holds true for adding a 0% speed effect to a frame, but to create the actual freeze frame with its own media, the above is true, and in my experience, always has been.I'm not on MC 2019 yet, but I've worked on all previous versions of Composer. For the record, Freeze Frame was always a menu item, but they moved its location in 2018. Not in front of MC right now, so I don't remember exactly where. I've got it mapped to my keyboard, and I remember having to search for it after we upgraded.-- Sol-------------------------------------------------Sol FischlerEditor: Image & Sound914-525-2579On Saturday, July 20, 2019, 08:16:29 AM EDT, Davaldod davaldod@gmail.com [Avid-L2] <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:I poked around some more and it turns out it only works off of the Source side monitor, but not the Record monitor.
Is that the way it always was, and I'm just not remembering? Because it sure seems your could do it from either side in past versions. But I'm certainly willing to be wrong. Thanks,DOn Jul 20, 2019, at 2:21 AM, Roger Shufflebottom rogershuff@yahoo.co.uk [Avid-L2] <Avid-L2@yahoogroups.com> wrote:Works fine here.
