Out of budget.

Would rather build a PC and give the new MP time to marinate

Upgraded to a Radeon 580 for my 3.46 12 core cheesegrater. It may be long in the tooth and now won't have a boot screen, but I'm gonna wring more miles out of it.

There was a fairly accurate rumour leak spec of the new Mac Pro that was published a few weeks before the keynote, with photos. Form factor was very similar, but it was all black, ho handles, no cheese grater pattern.. Looked great. Had the same number of slots, chip, RAM etc, so I think it was an actual leak, just prior to the 'design department' messing it up so completely. (Plus it had an Nvidia option.) Would've loved to buy that one, but I'm very reluctant to invest in this as it stands.

Maybe gen. 2 or 3, when they've fixed all the design flaws.
