This gets a little long so please read it all before replying.
Multiple Mac MC2018.5 workstations connected to an ISIS 5500.
• The other week I made a 1920x1080 23.98 project. Everything is working fine for that project.
Destination resolution is DNxHD 36
• Today I created a 4k 4096x2160 23.98 project. Same user settings as the HD project.
In the Media Creation settings I have set the destination as the same as the HD project. 1.18TB of available space on the ISIS workspace.
I made the destination codec DNxHR LB
I changed the Import settings to scale images.
I set Proxy under Format to 1/4
On workstatoin Avid1
I go to import the same JPGs that I already imported into the HD project but get the error Exception: MXFDomain_INIT_FAILED. I try other images not imported into the HD project. JPGs, TIFFs, PNGs, and get the same error. I try importing to a local USB3 drive and same error. I've tried importing from network shares and my desktop. I do notice that it leaves files behind in the creating folder on the media volume.
I go to import the same QTs that imported into the HD project and get the error Exception: Cannot quick import a mixed resolution QuickTime movie. I try different QT from different sources that are in different codecs, DNx, PhotoJPEG, ProRes, h246, etc. I try to the ISIS and local. All no joy.
I reboot. No joy.
I switch over to Avid2.
Same project. Same user settings (exported and copied and with the same settings in Media Creation and Import). Same source files. Same ISIS destination. And boom. It works.
I switch over to a totally unsupported MacMini and it works.
I deleted the Avid1 folder on the ISIS volume and let it make a new one. No good.
I create new user settings on the Avid1 MC. All to no luck.
I switch back to the HD project and I can import any files to all the destinations.
Any ideas?
