[Avid-L2] Avid Titler+ is seemingly unusable in it's present state?

I had heard Kevin M was coming out with a tutorial but I haven't found it as yet.

I can't begin to figure out the architecture of the interface.  If I type a new text object or create a new text object I end up with a square box that the text just types around.  After initially typing I can use the justification buttons and the entire field, if that's the correct term will act as expected.  Once I start clicking outside the field then I can never get the text object to behave the same with the justification buttons.  Once it has been deselected then the justification button effect the text object as a whole and the text withing.

I get this behavior could be useful but it's also useful to be able to select the text and re justify it relative to itself.  Think two line lwr 3rd or subtitle where you want to change from left justify to center etc...  I can't find the way to do that.  The help menu is primitive and doesn't address this in any detail.

I can't believe Avid thinks this is a tool ready for release.  I'm sure I have some operator error but when the select text or select field buttons don't seem to do what I would think they would I am beyond frustrated.  With title tool it's basic but the choice between dealing with the actual text or the text field/object are easy.  I can't believe this atrocity shipped.  Yes I hate fonts but this takes it to a new level even an OKI dog won't fix.

If anyone has figured out how to get text justification to work once they have clicked off the initial text typed please let me in on the secret sauce.
