Today I think I found out the cause of the reverse matchframe problem. On my latest show the reverse match works until I put a symphony color correction on a shot. No color correction and reverse match works perfectly. Put on a symphony color correction and then the reverse match is offset from the proper frame. WTF. If I remove the color correction reverse match works again. I'm on Mac OX 10.10.5 Avid MC 8_9_4. I tried both a src clip name correction and a src segment and they both cause the issue. Anybody know if this is a known bug? I'll be sending this to Marianna.

Working on an HD 23.976 series and I've noticed that reverse match isn't working correctly. Many time it just doesn't do anything. If I match frame to a shot and then move the record timeline and do a reverse match it should pop back to the exact frame in the record timeline or jump to multiple instances if there are repeats of the same frame in the sequence.
After playing around I found that it would reverse match but be off by a couple seconds. So normal match frame finds the proper frame in the source monitor but then I reverse match and the record timeline position will jump to a place approx 2 second later comparing the source time codes. WTF? If normal match works why would reverse match have an offset? I tried cutting the timeline into a new sequence to see if something about the TC 1 time code base was off.
I've done a few tests and when the reverse match works it's finding a frame approx 2 seconds off. I can't remember if it was earlier or later but in trying different shots the offset didn't seem to be consistently off by the same amount but the few that would reverse match the offset was around 2 seconds..
I'm starting a new show today and I'm going to test some more. Most of the show is XDCam50 that was consolidated to the nexis from the Sony Drive. The offline was done with dnx 36 transcodes. The sequences are all correct it's just reverse match is whacked. I can't recall if I tried a new user but I will have the AE try to reverse match once he has consolidated the sequence.
