[Avid-L2] Does anyone use the PT | Control app with Media Composer as an audio control surface?

Does anyone use the PT | Control app for iPad with Media Composer as an audio control surface?

I've been trying it out for about a week…I never figured out how to get my previous solution* to work past 8 channels once Avid removed the "bank" button from the audio mixer.

Anyway: There is something very peculiar going on where if I adjust fader #6 on the iPad screen, fader #4 also gets adjusted. It's not specific to those channels, could be any of them. Sometimes, the fader on the iPad will move for a channel that has no clip there to modify; sometimes it's for a channel that I really would prefer not be adjusted instead of the one I've reached for.  Also, Composer seems to fairly regularly ignore level changes that have been made on the iPad.

Are there settings to tweak to rationalize its behavior?

I know Avid would rather sell me a hardware surface, but so far this app is a terrible ad for the more expensive product. It's possibly worth using at the beginning of a project for access to solo/mute easily, but it seems very bad for mixing.

*My previous solution was building a Lemur template mimicking a JL Cooper control surface; it worked pretty smoothly, and didn't even require add-on software like Avid's own solution does.
