Re: [Avid-L2] OT: Project Aspect Ratio Settings in iMovie on iPad?

Went to Fry's and pickup a IStore N Go from Verbatim.  When first plugged in it automatically directs to the app store to get the Store N Go app necessary for it to work.  Of course that requires a password that I assume my daughter has but she's at work now.  Repluging in the drive doesn't give the same prompt so it's only the first time it's plugged into the device that it directs to the necessary app.  Fortunately the app store still points to the app so when she gets home I can see if I can install it with her password.

I really hate having to deal with this primitive non intuitive interface of IOS.  The fact that Apple is moving the normal mac OS systems closer to this interface is disheartening.  Oh well we did find out that older versions of iMovie do offer a 4x3 project setting but apparently the current version that is on this school iPad does not.  One step forward and 5 steps back.

Yeah,  the school locking system makes this more tricky than it normally would be.  I presume there is no i way to connect to iCloud?
Can you add apps ?  There are other editors besides iMovie.  Pinnacle Studio for iPad has more control over how stills are handled.  Not an expert but I have played with it.

If we had the space on the dropbox then the camera upload feature would work.  I wonder if this flashdrive would be seen as an alternate destination for the camera upload function.  The site seems to imply that it works with the camera upload function but again I wonder how much restriction the school lock puts on these kind of functions?
