Re: [Avid-L2] can't find master clips using matchback

Good point on the 'save', let me check that is happening.

One theory going around here last night was that when someone quit out of the project, it knew where master clips had gone when re-opening. ... but they couldn't quit because they didn't want to lose the locks on certain bins. Which, I think, sounds similar to your 'save' theory.

This is more complicated that I'm describing - but can happen with this simple set up.

Have a bunch of master clips, create a sequence. (all in same bin) Pull up sequence, match back to source. No problem.

Now, create a new bin, move the master clips in to that bin, and close that bin.
Pull up the sequence, choose matchback - and you are told 'bin is not in project'

Any suggestions on what I could do to refresh Media Composer's memory?

Project is on shared storage (ISIS), multiple assistants and editors.
