It is one of my pet peeves.
There are several broadcasters that can't handle classic 2:3 pulldown for their digital distribution. Even in mixed frame rate shows, our clients are being forced to use improper speed FX. Dom Q. Silverio

Those networks are stupid. With 2:3 pulldown, you can reverse telecine to recover 24p and your streaming encodes will be many times better looking.
