I did not mention anything about crashes - it is just an unreliable way of handling media that could lead to problems and confusion.
I am guessing Avid will favor the media set that it was linked to last time it ran.

That's interesting. What makes you say that Bogdan? I'm almost certain I've inadvertently had two drives mounted with the same media accidentally in the past, without nasty crashes.
