Hi,
I hope someone at Avid will read this and act on it.
There are many good thing in the newer edition of Scriptsync and a few
mysteries. The Interpolate Position menu that needed to be resettled for
every new script was finally fixed in release 8.9. Still, there are a
few enigmas that needs to be elucidated like the "Take Coloring" in the
Script setting that seems to have no effect at all.
But the worse offender is the Find Script command that is supposed to
open the script and highlight the line that you are working on but
instead it highlights the whole take.
Imagine that you are working on a three pages scene and you want to call
the script to check other takes for that specific line that the actor is
delivering poorly. This is a master shot so the Scriptsync line went
through the whole three pages. Find script is the command that should
you take you there and highlight that line but 99% of the times,
(because occasionally it does the right thing) it will select the whole
three pages synchronized to that take. This very inconvenient and I
haven't found a workaround.
So, if someone at Avid can take this issue to the entomology department,
that would be very helpful.
Thanks,
Marcel
