Why not use Nexis Pro? Great bandwidth and price.
AFAIK, the tricky part with Isilon is that performance can change
drastically depending on the node you hit and the % of free space. In my
experience, Avid storage performance does not deppends on available free
space.
I don't know if prices have gone down now that the Dell Aquisition is on
the move, but it wasn't cheap..
