We got some footage that is shot with Sony FS-7 as far as I know. Most of the footage is XDCam 50 Mb and works fine. They shot some slo mo that they think is long gop, but I can't confirm that. What I can tell from Media Info is it is variable bit rate. The clips seem to hang the Avid on one of the assist stations. We have to run Avid 8.5.3 in order to work with this material.
I figure it isn't XAVC-S because it is working on my system when I ama link. Does anybody know why to shoot slo mo on a Sony FS-7 they would have to switch from shooting XDCam 50 format to a variable bit rate format. In the avid the clips show up sayiing 1080P unsupported. I have read in previous threads that sometimes the unsupported in the Video column isn't accurate. Today it certainly isn't because although my system has to think about the clips a bit they did show up and I was able to transcode to DNX 175X.
Anybody work with this camera and know why the slo mo footage changed from XDCam 50 to variable bit rate?
