So I have moved on from the MacPro 2009 and decided to go with 4 year old technology rather than 9 and got a late 2013 model Vader mac. Sonnet box works great for Avid card, all drives and hubs working fine. Running MC 8.6.5 and all very responsive and renders are quick.
But….
Exports are taking forever if they go at all. I have a 9 minute sequence DNX 220. Normally in the old days (about five weeks ago) It would export to any drive and take a few minutes at most. Now that same sequence runs 20 minutes and still is only 70% done. Often I get a failed error.
Anyone run into this on the newer macs or when using SATA and thunderbolt drives?
Resorting to mixdown and will try that to see if I have any luck. QT reference won't work because I used AMA media which was all transcoded but doesn't seem to matter to Avid.
