Well right now the office has decided to go to 8.5.2 and see how it does. Apparently it works well with the Blackmagic boxes and ISIS so I"ll let everyone know once we've had some time to tick the tires.

In my experience, it differs based on which bugs will cripple your workflow the most. Regular audio file->Imports don't work for me on 8.5, but on 8.6 everything seems slow and the Avid Artist control devices become completely unusable. 8.6 also does not open all bins created in v7, whereas 8.5 opens them fine.
I'm now running multiple different versions on my systems so I can workaround. But for pure stability, I would still choose v7. Sad, but true.
