I looked at a lot of xkrs and even an xjs but post heart surgery they were hell getting in and out so I settled on an xj8 4.2 aluminum body. It does everything I could need in a car - including starting... For now. I went for black on black and it looks amazing just needs more cleaning than an average car.
I previously had a midnight blue/ red leather interior 63 Daimler/jaguar sovereign 420g which had knock off wire wheels which looked amazing. Later after I'd left the uk and sold it I bought an charcoal grey/ivory interior xj6 in Malaysia where I discovered the joys of overheating in a car whose idea of a tropical cooling kit was a $5 plastic fan on the radiator.
The xj8 was super cheap and whilst 13 years old performs better than I dare drive so I'm very happy with the choice. I'll keep until it dies but I'm interested to see what jaguar do with their 2018 hybrid or possibly electric xj and might trade up for my retirement car.

Or even a silver Austin Healy Mark II (or was it III?)
I'm salivating
But then again at my age getting into one is a major undertaking. I put my bak out climbing into a TR 5 convertible about two years ago.
Now I'm happy with a Camry Hybrid. But I dream of the '66 Triumph GT 6 I bought new I college.
