Re: [Avid-L2] FrameFlex jpegs

Good question.  There's not a lot of documentation out there for using linked media/FrameFlex with stills (or even anecdotal reports) but you might want to check a few things and let us know what you find.

1) Does it handle color space correctly? I'm guessing no, but it's probably workable with color correction.
2) What happens if the images get moved or unlinked?  Can they be relinked easily?
3) Is the higher resolution truly maintained on sequence transcodes?  On export? Need to render first?
4) Any weird issues using shared storage? (ISIS, Unity, Terrblock)

I don't know anyone who actually has used it for stills other than playing around.  It seems that now that there is rotation available, it would be a good native solution other than the horror show that is Avid Pan and Zoom.

I haven't seen this discussed before. MC 8.5.1.  I'm linking to a bunch of jpegs, and it seems that they work fine with FrameFlex.
So do I no longer need Moving Picture for simple zoom and rotate of photos?
