One would actually think that scripted should be easier and wouldn't need all those steps, post and AE should ingest clips in a correct way to be readable by both application.
I have done many shows with Avid-resolve workflows, and usually only need to find the 'right hand shake' between the clips in Avid to be able to relink, I almost never needed to put additional TC or name a new column but doing that make sure that the relink is always working.
The issue with relinking is usually with DSLR and Gopro when the TC of the clips is modified and not matching what the Avid reads.
