[Avid-L2] Re: Mono Audio export - level is -3db

There was a change along the way back around Ver. 5.5 ish.  I posted about it.  I found when multing two stereo tracks to create a mono track that I would then lower the gain -6db to handle the doubled level it became -3db when I was in stereo mode and -6db if I was in mono.

Do a test with two tracks of tone and do an audio mixdown.  The resulting mixdown will be +6db hot when in mono and only +3db when in stereo in the audio output.  I always switch to mono mode in the audio output before doing in multing audio mixdowns to avoid the inconsistency.  I think since I ran into this way back when it had changed back to the normal -6db to level out a mult but perhaps it's back to the old tricks again.
